Urban Monk- Highest Cafe and Glass Cabins of Manali

We had a good three day stay here… we loved the place very much. Our stay was in a glass cabin with a beautiful view of the nature outside. Location was high in the mountains with snowy peaks and lot of greenery. We loved the food at the cafe. They have a top notch chef who makes great food. The ambience of the place is nice. Highly recommend coming here.

A brilliant experience in the wilderness and with glass windows with a view of the mountains, this was a spiritual experience. Rooms were excellent and very clean. Hospitality was incredible by the manager nooraj and the owner veer. There is a trek that runs behind the hotel that was surreal with views of the mountain and a waterfall. A MUST VISIT!

We stayed for 2 nights. Amazing rooms with good view. Best part of it was their staff. Always eager to help. The food was pretty good too. Only downside was location. But the peaceful environment makes up for that

We stayed at the glass cabins from June 25 for four days and had a truly fantastic experience. The cabins are beautifully designed—fully furnished and thoughtfully planned—offering breathtaking views of the mountains. Imagine stargazing from the comfort of your bed in a glass cabin surrounded by nature’s grandeur! Veer, the owner, is warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. He made our stay even more enjoyable with his recommendations and attention to detail. If you're looking to explore Manali, I highly recommend staying here. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and connection with nature. And for dog lovers, their gentle and friendly dog, Lali, is an absolute bonus! Breakfast is included, which is a great touch. My only suggestion would be to vary the breakfast menu a bit—it tends to get repetitive after a few days. All in all, a memorable stay in a magical setting.

Just went to eat there... did not stay The food was great. Ordered Pasta and Shezwan Chicken fried rice... both were good.. Rice felt a bit dried out, but was flavourful and good. You need to park your bike or car on the road nearby and walk... can be a bit tricky, but worth the food. Not wheelchair friendly.. possibly it will have a proper path in a few days. Ambience is good. They added 10% service charge. It was not optional. Overall worth going.

My wife, daughter, and I spent four serene nights at this wonderful homestay, and we can confidently say it was peaceful, comfortable, and rejuvenating for all three of us. After being immersed in the hustle of daily life, all we wanted was peace, relaxation, and quality family time — not the usual sightseeing rush. Urban Monk gave us just that. A Few Important Points for Future Travelers: 1. Homestay, Not a Hotel — But Better! Urban Monk is a homestay, not a hotel — but it easily outshines any 3-star hotel in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, and warmth. 2. Breathtaking Location: We stayed in a beautiful 2-bedroom apartment on the third floor. The view from our room was simply majestic — snow-covered mountains right in front of us. 3. Exceptional Service: Special thanks to Aayush and Lovejot for their excellent care and attention. The entire team made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. 4. Delicious, Home-Style Food: We had all our meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — at Urban Monk, and every dish was just like home-cooked food. Despite staying for five days, we faced zero stomach issues, which says a lot! 5. Polite and Caring Staff: What sets them apart is their humility and dedication. Every staff member was polite, respectful, and genuinely eager to help. 6. The Urban Monk Café: Just a 200-meter uphill walk from the property is their café — a must-visit! The food, ambiance, and views were absolutely fabulous. A true heart-meal experience! 7. Above and Beyond: They arranged everything we asked for — even a Scooty and special meals for our daughter. Every small need was taken care of with a smile. 8. A Note for Future Guests: While the staff goes above and beyond, we as guests must also be respectful. Sadly, during our stay, a few youngsters misbehaved and caused damage to the property despite repeated warnings. This affected the peace of the entire team, who couldn’t sleep that night.
